Last night, someone swiped my bike. In all honesty, I really didn't do enough to protect it, so I'm not surprised. Because the bike rack is crowded, I hitch up to a fence near the parking garage's entrance/exit. A few weeks back, a jagged bit of shrapnel made mincemeat of one of my bike's inner tubes, and this inspired me to go to my local bike shop and discuss puncture-proof tires. I really wish my coworkers would stop booking meetings that bookend the lunch hour. It's a horribly irritating intrusion on my work/life balance.

Sunday, I hauled my computer over to Spetti House to try and nurse my HDD into condition for being imaged. Bill was gracious enough to help. I started out the day with elaborate enthusiasm, and I was going to take the opportunity to do a number of improvements to my computer, including installing a Blu Ray drive and possibly upgrading the RAM. The morning commute today was just absolutely disappointing. I might have gotten up to 18.5 mph but by the time I got to the office, a mere 3.5 miles down the road, I was barely pulling 15 mph with heavy work.
